I had the opportunity of seeing Candi Staton’s interview on Bet, it was almost unbelievable to hear that one woman could go from one horrific situation of abusive relationship to another, up to three times.
What lifted me was the joy she expressed of her last marriage.
Such a bright and lively soul could have been held down and oppressed for nothing.
